Women's Lib and Pop Music

Click here to listen to the latest show!

Where do I start? Thanks for your patience. In this episode I have strayed from my usual format because of an interview I did with singer/feminist Helen Reddy. We met years ago in NYC and I interviewed her for my old radio show, "Peas in the Pod." Listening to this latest recording, I was surprised how much and yet how little has changed.

When I do episode 26, I will return to my older format. I'm in it for the long haul.

Mr. Katz,

This episode was fantastic! People say "lol" a lot, but often they didn't really "lol." In this case several parts of this latest installment were a literal "LOL!" for me.

I don't want to say I laughed out loud every second because that would be pretty crazy (and annoying to people in audible radius). I'll just say a smile was on my face the entire time.

I agree with Greg, this might be my favorite episode yet - and they are all really, really good.

Tom Leopold was hilarious. Your back-and-forth is a truly comedic experience. The stammering is priceless. It's so funny when you are the straight-man, but also have zingers.

As always, I look forward to more "Hey, We're Back" and anything by you - including the mentioned book and cartoon series. Can't wait and wish I knew more.

Thanks for doing this.

Your upper-tier percentile fan,

Brad Patridge

Getting back in touch with Helen was so nice. It is moments like this when the internet, in the hands of a master, can melt time and space.
